Meet Elizabeth Carey, PMHNP-BC: Guiding Clients Toward Mental Wellness
Elizabeth Carey is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing thoughtful, intentional, and personalized mental health care. With a focus on adolescents and adults, she supports individuals living with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and affective disorders. Elizabeth combines medication management with therapeutic interventions to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that help her clients thrive.
Education and Experience
Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Boston College, specializing as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her educational background, coupled with years of hands-on clinical experience, has shaped her evidence-based, compassionate approach to mental health care.
She spent several years as a member of the Neurotherapeutics team at McLean Hospital, gaining valuable expertise in advanced psychiatric treatments. Additionally, her work in medical/surgical oncology and perioperative care has provided her with a well-rounded understanding of the mind-body connection in health and healing.
