First Responders and Military Veterans
You protect everyone else. You absorb things most people will never see, then go home and carry it alone because that is what the culture expects. You deserve the same caliber of care you provide to others.
Police, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, active duty and veterans. Duxbury, Back Bay and telehealth across MA and NH.
The Job Takes More Than You Admit
First responders and veterans face trauma exposure the general population never approaches. The culture says push through it. The data says that approach is failing.

Seeking help is the same operational discipline you apply to everything else: identify the problem, deploy the right resource, resolve the issue.
Built Around How the Job Works
Complete Confidentiality
We do not contact your department, your commanding officer or your employer. Period. Your records are protected by HIPAA and Massachusetts privacy law. We do not produce fitness-for-duty evaluations.
No-Judgment Clinical Environment
You will never be pathologized for doing your job. What you have experienced is not a personal failing. We treat the neurological impact of operational exposure, not a character deficiency.
Telehealth for Privacy
Virtual appointments mean no waiting-room encounters with people from your department or community. Schedule around shifts and access care from anywhere in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
One Plan, One Team
Your prescriber and therapist work under one roof, so medication, trauma-focused therapy and outcome tracking point at the same goals and you never retell your story.
Conditions Common in Your Profession
Choose one to read how we approach it.
PTSD and Complex Trauma
Single-incident trauma and cumulative exposure produce different presentations. We assess and treat both with evidence-based trauma therapy, medication where it helps, and PCL-5 tracking.
Depression and Burnout
Emotional exhaustion, cynicism and loss of purpose are not inevitable consequences of the career. They are treatable conditions that respond to the right combination of medication and therapy.
Anxiety and Hypervigilance
On-duty situational awareness becomes off-duty hypervigilance that erodes relationships and sleep. We help your nervous system tell operational readiness from pathological arousal.
Sleep Disruption
Rotating shifts, overnights and what you saw on the last call all show up at 3 a.m. Sleep is assessed and treated as part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Substance Use and Self-Medication
Alcohol and other substances are common coping strategies in the culture. We address what is driving the use, without judgment, using AUDIT screening and evidence-based approaches.
Combat Exposure and Moral Injury
The weight of decisions made in impossible situations deserves specific, skilled care. We work with veterans on combat-related trauma and moral injury alongside any co-occurring conditions.
How We Work
Confidential intake
Your first call is handled with complete discretion. We schedule around shifts, offer telehealth for privacy, and never require a referral from your department or command.
Comprehensive assessment
PCL-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS, AUDIT and a detailed clinical interview, including the co-occurring conditions most often missed in this population.
Individualized plan
Medication management, with GeneSight pharmacogenetic testing to inform prescribing when helpful, trauma-focused therapy, and one coordinated plan.
Ongoing support
Outcome measures at every visit and adjustments when they say so. You are never left wondering whether treatment is working: we show you the data.
In Network With the Major Plans
Self-pay and out-of-network options are also available, superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA/FSA is accepted. We verify your benefits before your first visit. Insurance details →
Frequently Asked
Will my department find out?
No. Your treatment is protected by HIPAA and Massachusetts privacy law. We do not notify employers, departments or military commands, and we do not produce fitness-for-duty evaluations. Your records are yours.
Will treatment affect my ability to carry a firearm or keep my certification?
Seeking outpatient psychiatric treatment does not automatically affect professional certifications or firearms eligibility. We understand the concern and can talk it through openly at your first visit.
I do not think I have PTSD. I just cannot sleep and I am angry all the time.
Sleep disruption and irritability are among the most common presentations in first responders, and they often point to an underlying condition that responds well to treatment. An evaluation can find what is driving them and how to resolve it.
Can I be seen after my shift ends?
Yes. Telehealth and flexible scheduling accommodate rotating shifts, overnights and overtime. We work around your operational schedule.
What insurance do you accept?
We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts Health Plan, with self-pay and out-of-network options. We verify your benefits before your first visit.
